Charles frequently lectures for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, where he instructs other lawyers on employment law topics. In 2018, the American Society of Legal Advocates selected Charles as one of the Top 100 Labor & Employment Lawyers in Pennsylvania. Charles has repeatedly been named a Pennsylvania SuperLawyer. Charles has served as the Chairman of the Labor and Employment Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association and as the President of the Western Pennsylvania Employment Lawyers Association. He is also an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and Taxpayers Against Fraud. Charles often serves as a media consultant on current issues in employment law and has given interviews to the Pittsburgh Business Times, the International Business Times, Human Resources Executive Magazine and CNBC among others.
Charles graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1996. Prior to attending law school, Charles received a degree in Economics from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he was a wingman on the rugby team. When not working, Charles can often be found reading, working out or playing guitar. Charles resides in Upper St. Clair.
